Ayelet Zohar is a transdisciplinary artist and visual culture scholar specializing in East Asian art. She received her PhD from the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London (2007), and conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University, California (2007–2009).

Dr. Eilat Zohar is a senior lecturer in the Department of Art History at Tel Aviv University and currently serves as President of the Japan Art History Forum.

During her residency in the AFAR program, Zohar lectured on "Ink Painting in Japan: Between Monks and Landscapes" and "The Floating World: Geishas, Actors, and Sumo Wrestlers in Ukiyo-e Prints," sharing insights into her recent artistic practice.

Additionally, she created ink-on-paper works, hoping the rain would complete her process.
