Matan is an Israeli talented contemporary painter, who lives and works in Jerusalem. His paintings linger on moments in which reality and abstraction co-exist. Though his landscapes seem to describe nowhere specific, they reflect detachment, anxiety and constant tension, which characterizes life in Israel.
Matan has a MFA from Bezalel Academy. His work has been displayed in solo and group exhibitions: NordArt, Budelsdorf, Germany (2016) / The Young Mariner, Noga Gallery TLV (2015) / Notes to the wind, at the Israel Embassy's booth in Art-Beijing (2014) / Journeys, the Israel Museum (2014) and many more.
