Social Security | Artists House, Rishon Letzion

Dan Carmeli’s solo exhibition Secret Agent displays his works made over the past decade, opening a view into his mysterious world. His work corresponds with his daily routine, laced with humor, sarcasm, stringent self-criticism, and retrospective observation from the viewpoint of middle age. His nature photographs are carefully staged, artificial landscapes corresponding with the photographs of interiors of relatives’ homes, still life photographs alongside of self-expression rebelling against consensus and gods, plus an exhibition of collectors’ items. All are presented in habitats inviting thoughts and perceptions to roam free.
